My Brother, Me and My Grandfather

I'm born and raised in Zürich, Switzerland where I enrolled in the Kunst Gewerbe Schule at the tender age of 16. Some years later I graduated with a graphic design degree at the top of my class. I then worked for a small ad Agency, designing billboards and creating sort tv commercials.

I then worked with a copywriter as a freelance team for various ad agencies creating ideas for ads. I started illustrating for some newspapers and magazines in switzerland and created a monthly comic strip called Fish & Partner.

Somewhere in the mid 80's I moved to the United States. The Village voice, RCA Records, The Washington Post and 7ßDays where among my first clients. Back in those days I used gouache and masking film. Somewhere down the road I bought my first IIci Mac computer.

In 1991 I began to play with with Photoshop. My friend the photographer Raymond Meier called, and soon I started retouching half days for Raymond meier. Photoshop at the time had no layers nor multiple undoes.

In 2000 I moved with my wife Deborah and son Emmett to the Catskills in upstate New York. Since this site is being updated every few months, I hope you enjoy my most recent work and check back again soon.
